The Safety Council of Trinidad and Tobago (COUNCIL) was established in 1986 as the National Safety Council Trinidad & Tobago, and in 1999 became a body corporate under the authority of the Parliament of Trinidad and Tobago (Act No. 28 of 1999).
Purpose
COUNCIL is a non-profit, non-political organization devoted to promoting all aspects of health, safety and environmental protection.
COUNCIL is also committed to the dissemination of information on codes; best safety management practices; environmental sustainability; skills and technologies for accident prevention.
